I am pleased to know of an Anthony Mills Parrot on the 1782 tax roll of Anson co., NC. I haven't a clue as to who he is. The Demsey Perrett (I read the census as Perritt) is most likely a relative of Martha Perritt (most descendents give it as Parrott) and her husband Joseph Williams. Martha was born about 1750 in Edgecombe Co., NC, a dau. of Agness and John Perritt. This relationship of Martha to Agness and John has been established through a very large case study that is, hopefully, coming to a close this year.

Martha and Joseph Williams have children in Anson Co., NC, by 1810 census. Their oldest son, Henry, born about 1767 is living in Anson by 1810 as is another Henry Williams younger and living very near Demsey Perritt in 1810. [See the 1810 census]

There was also a John P*rr*tt in Anson County about the same time period.

Cary
