I have traced my family history through my grandfather Robert Perriam (Born 1884)his grandfather Joseph Perriam (Born 1815) and his grandmother Nancy perriam (Born 1768).

Nancy was a famous Devonshire naval heroine during the Napoleonic wars and is actually buried next to Lady Nelson in Littleham church yard. There is plenty of information on the internet about her adventures if your interested.

It seems that the Perriams are very closely associated with the towns of Exmouth and Littleham in Devon and had a strong tradition of being seafarers.

Kind Regards,

Rob
