Spelling was something which was fast and loose until the 20th century. Names were very fluid and might be spelled 3 or 4 different ways in the same document. The word "clerk" was pronounced "clark" for a long time and it's possible this is what happened with your Parigo line. I suspect it did originate with the Perrigos. I have nothing specific to your Robert but it is possible he is connected with the following:

There is no Robert in the list of children I have for Isaac & John but I have nothing for children of James jr or George, so Robert may belong to one of them. These are not my family, just info I've come across. Happy hunting.
