Spelling was something which was fast and loose until the 20th century. Names were very fluid and might be spelled 3 or 4 different ways in the same document. The word "clerk" was pronounced "clark" for a long time and it's possible this is what happened with your Parigo line. I suspect it did originate with the Perrigos. I have nothing specific to your Robert but it is possible he is connected with the following: James Perrigo possibly s/o Thomas Perrigo / Pherigo b. c 1776 Sussex Co, NJ d. 1852 Guernsey Co, OH m. c 1798 Mary Jane ____ b. c 1776 d. Children: Issac b. 28Nov1800 d. 1Oct1871 m. Sarah Hartley Martha b. 1Sep1803 d. 1896 m. Jonathan Garrett Margaret b. 17Jun1805 d. m. Henry Greer James b. c 1807 d. Sarah b. 12Apr1809 d. 16Jun1847 m. Enoch Galloway Mariah b. 31Jul1811 d. + 1870 m. John Ward Nancy b. 29Jan1813 d. m. David Ward John b. 22Sep1815 d. 1885 m. Mathilda Clary George b. d. m. MaryAnn Indecot James sr. was of Newtown, Sussex, NJ 1793 of PA 1811 of Belmont Co, OH 1813 of Guernsey Co, OH There is no Robert in the list of children I have for Isaac & John but I have nothing for children of James jr or George, so Robert may belong to one of them. These are not my family, just info I've come across. Happy hunting. Notify Administrator about this message?
