The surname on their M-cert. details is PERRETT according to the ONS marriage index.

Could find no Robert Algernon Perro(e)tt in the 1871.

You say they were away from home; therefore it follows that you know where they were living in 1881. Why not look for young children named Perre(o)tt living where you know their parents' home was?
