I am related to Samuel Perrott who was a son of William Perrott (Born Cork Ireland Abt 1845). He was registered as living in Askeaton, Limerick in 1911 census). I have found reference to a William Perrot(t) from Askeaton Limerick who was killed in the Japanese POW camp at the River Kwai. It looks likely that he is related to the William Perrott above, but I cannot make the link... I have found refernce to a William George Lecky Perrott on the Sinapore war memorial with the following details: Bombadier William George Lecky Perrott Died 5 Mar 1943 Aged 28 825997, 5 Searchlight Regt. Roayl Artillery son of Willam and Matilda Perrott of Woodenbridge Co. Wicklow. It seems likely that this is the same William Perrott mentioned in the accounts from the River Kwai, but again I I have not been able to verify this to date. William Perrott mentioned at the start of this post was married to Mary Forde and their childern were: Susan Perrott b.23/12/1869 Head Constable Samuel Perrott b.11/01/1871 Thomas Perrott b.27/05/1873 Henry Perrott b. 01/09/1875 Annie Maria Perrott b.4/1/1878 William Perrott b.7/12/1879 Joseph Perrott b.1885 All were born in and around Cork. Any help in making the above connections appreciated, as is any info on his ancestors or the decendents of his children. Regards Roger Perrott Notify Administrator about this message?
