Perry Families in Haselbury Plucknett, Somersetshire

Hello all,

I am researching my Perry line in Haselbury Plucknett and have hit a barrier. I have gone back as far as Edward Perry baptized in H.P. on 2 Apr 1820. However, there were two Edward Perry's baptized on that same day, obviously cousins, one of whom was the child of Simon Perry and Hannah Pool(Peel) and the other of John Perry and Mary Tytherleigh.

My dilemma is of course, how do I find out which of those families is my line.

I know where both Edwards were married and where both died. My question is, would the parent's name appear of either marriage certificates from 1839/1843 or death certificates from around 1882/1898.

Anyone else researching those two families in H.P.?
