Carol, what information are you looking for specifically…?
I haven’t found her death information as yet but have found her on the 1870 US Census with her family; the 1880 US Census listed her as “Jennie” with her mother and brother; her marriage to John S. Ely, 30 Jan 1889; the birth of a daughter, Elodia (“Eli”) G. Ely; the death of John Ely in 1902; marriage to George E. Phipps in 1904 (interesting find was George Phipps first wife’s name on the 1900 census was also “Martha”); listed on 1905 State Census for South Dakota; listed on 1910 US Census in Deer Creek, Lincoln, Nebraska; listed on 1915 State Census for South Dakota; and the last reference I found was the 1920 US Census listing them in Day, South Dakota, Martha is 58 on this census.
Did not find a death record for George Phipps or Martha/Jennie Phipps or a reference to another marriage, ie… “Perry”.
Do you have any information as to time frame or location of this possible “Perry” marriage…?
Regards, William Perry
