I purchased the subject studio portrait of a young boy taken by Wilbur, Annapee, WI. It is identified on the back of the mount in period ink handwriting:

"Aug. 12-1892.
June 1.-1895.

Compliments of
Billy Perry."

This individual appears in Public Member Trees posted on ancestry.com. He is listed in the 1900 Census data for Algoma, Kewaunee Co., WI; the 1910 Census data for Algoma (resided on Third Street), Kewaunee Co., WI; the 1920 Census data for Algoma (resided on Washington Street), Kewaunee Co., WI; the 1930 Census data for Spring Lake (resided on Savidge Street), Ottawa Co., MI; and the 1940 Census data for Algoma (resided on Piedmont Street), Kewaunee Co., WI.

William Esser Perry, born 12 Aug 1892 in Algoma, Kewaunee Co., WI, died 9 Dec 1955, was the son of Melvin Withington Perry (1864-1951) and Mary Josephine Esser (1870-1958). William worked in a veneer factory like his father. He married three times and had a total of five children by two wives.
