Not sure if this is a connection to your family, but interesting all the same. My grandmother was adopted from the Susquehanna Children's Home in Binghamton, New York. I was looking at the records for the home today, and listed in the book is a Chauncey Personius. He was born August 30, 1883, and was admitted to Susquehanna on September 21, 1894. He was from Candor, Town of Tioga, in New York. He was released from Susuquehanna on May 23, 1895. His father is listed as Sherman Personius. He ended up with a D. Johnson in Owego, New York.
