The names Person, Persons, Parson and Parsons are variations of the same name. In much of England and Scotland the minister of the local church was called The Person or The Parson. Some took this as a surname. Changes occur regularly. My ancestors couldn't settle on Person or Persons. - Philip Hudsons,
