Ithuel PERSONS (PARSONS, PEARSON)
Posted by: Richard Dodge (ID *****3734) Date: July 17, 2003 at 17:37:33
  of 481

I have three spellings for Ithuel's surname: on a 1828 deed it is PEARSON; in the 1830 & 1840 census it is PARSONS; and on the 1850 census and afterward it is PERSONS.

Based on a cemetery record, he was born in May of 1785 (census records indicate he was born in Massachusetts). He died in Davenport, Delaware County, NY on 15 September 1863. He was married to Sara (Sally), born April of 1787 (census records indicate she was born in Massachusetts).

I know of 4 children; Thomas born 1810, Betsy born 1812, Joseph born 1833, and Maryette born 1834.

I am trying to find who Ithuel's parents were and where they came from in Massachusetts.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
