Samuel Pearson, Pierson, Person?

My ancestor, Samuel Pierson, Pearson, Person? was born 14 Feb 1821 in PA according to census and tombstone information. He traveled down the Ohio river from PA to Jackson County WV abt the end of 1840. He married Sarah A White 11 Dec 1840 in Jackson Co, WV. She was from Beaver County, PA.

Samuel appears as Parson, Person, Pearson, Pierson and Purson in deeds, marriages etc. Although his tombatone says PIERSON any of these variants may have been used. He died 28 Aug 1888 in Meigs county, OH.

I've been seeking his parents for quite a long time. He may have joined the White family any place in their route from Beaver county, PA to Jackson (WV) and Meigs (OH) counties .

His children were named : James Morgan (born 6 months after marriage), William Henry, John Jackson, Samuel jr, Sarah, Susan Myra, Mary, Lucy Francis and WInfield.

I could use some help finding Samuel's father and mother.
