I am sporadically researching the line of Charles P. Coleman (1763-1850) Judith and John R. Coleman are children of Charles P. and an unknown spouse. Not sure if Martha Ann Coleman is any relation.
William D. Persons m. Judith Coleman about 1835 in Alabama or Mississippi

Wiley C. Persons m.Martha Ann Coleman in 1836 in Sumter, AL and Avarilla Hudson in 1844 in Sumter . I just tonight found this information on FamilySearch.

Hearty Persons m. John R. Coleman in 1835 in Sumter Both died in Little River, AR

These three were sister and brother. All of the families moved to Arkansas in the 1850s.

On 1860 census, at least two of John and Hearty’s children (William and Charles P. Coleman) are in the home of the widow, Avarilla Pearson or Person in Panola County, Texas with her 8 children and two Graham children.. There is also a Martha Coleman listed in the home but John and Hearty have an 8 year old Martha listed in their home in Arkansas on the same census so not sure who this Martha Coleman is.
William and Charles returned to Arkansas to fight in the Civil War.
