The PERSSE family came to Ireland in 1602
from Northumberland with the Vicar of Carogh
in County Kildare, Ireland. He married a
Jane de Burge m. 6/Dec/1605. He died in 1612.
There were several sons whose seniority is
not known. My family is from what are called
the Spring Garden Persse family with a
David Persse who was a brother of Dudley
PERSSE. David Persse's daughter,Jane Caroline
Isabel PERSSE married Walter Taylor at Castle Taylor in Ardrahan. They had five
children including my grandfather who came
to the United States with his Family.
