Are you one of the Austalian Persse familly? I have a copy of the work of Michael D. de Burgh Collins Persse written for family distibution called "De Burgh Fitzpatrick Persse and his family." There is a picture of Buton Persse and Moyde Castle in the front.
He writes: "..they have always been accepted as a branch of the House of Percy" He also says that the early spelling would have been with an accent on the last "e" and the first "s" would hve been long like an "f".
