I do have information from those 1700s forward, but they're all in Quebec/Montreal for that time period, not in France.

So if your progenitor came from France in the 1800s he is probably not from my line unless the family sent a child abroad for some reason and then he came back. I would not have any detailed knowledge of that since my resources deal mainly with vitals and not with "story."
