Hello
My name is Donovan Peruyero, I am seeking help on some history on my family name. I am trying to find out what happened to my family after my great granfather left the Asturian mountains of Spain and further into Spain if possible. About 1980 I made contact with an eldery man who's last name was also Peruyero, I can't remember if it was Puerto Rico or Florida but he had a very strong resemblance and features like my father and his brother from my old pictures and memories I have of them. He denied any family connection and said he was from cuba.I mentioned that my grandfathers name was Juan and my great grandfathers name was Juan Baustista Peruyero. He told me they were common names back then, after further research I found it was not a commen name but popular among the male Peruyeros.
Some years later I found a woman named Olga Peruyero living in Brooklyn N.Y. who thought she was the only Peruyero living in New York. She gave me some information on her family in Puerto Rico with a little history. Unfortunately I have since misplaced her phone number and address along with that contact.

My father Laureano Peruyero has passed away in 1975 but still had an older brother living (Felix) and I went to see him a couple of years later. My uncle had told me that his father mentioned to him that my uncles grandfathers brothers and cousins had left spain and some were going to Puerto Rico and some to Cuba. Unfortunately they lost contact with each other and those left in Spain, he also mentioned that some were thinking of go to france and south America, sadly my uncle has since passed away along with any future knowledge of my family.

So far this is all I know about my family history. If we could share some information maybe we could fill in the blanks and be able to pass it on to our children.

Sincerely F.Donovan Peruyero
