My grandfathers name was Gaetano Petito. And he came from S. Angelo Dei Lombardi. Parents were Carmine & Rosaria Policano. He had 2 brothers, Mike & Charlie but i'm sure those names were changed from their orignal Italian names. My grandfather later changed his name to get work I was told because he & my uncles had orginally worked for Al Capone. Not as murderous thugs or anything like that but as bookkeepers. I believe they are mentioned in a book about Al Capones life.

Isn't it strange how the names are the same?

Grandpa came over on the SS Oregon my brother tells me, but I don't know what year off hand as he is doing most of the genealogy searching right now.

Just wanted to share that with you. Maybe somewhere we are related from way back when. Who knows?

Makes ya really think doesn't it?
