It seems the ones that came to America with the name Petrash went to Texas. The ones that came to PA kept the Petras for a few years with some changing it to Petrash. I don't know why. I have seen church records in Lansford, Carbon Co., PA where the name was kept without the h even after it had been change on legal documents like a SSA application.
