Hello Thomas,

my name is Martin Groesschen, I write from Germany. During my investigations about my ancestors in Texas I spotted a person with your surname. His name is Johann Peter Petsch, he came from a village named Frickhofen in Hessia, Germany. This village now belongs to a community named Dornburg. It is close to Limburg and Montabaur.

He left with my ancestor Peter Schandua Europe and setteld down at Fredericksburg, TX. The ship's name is Washington. It sailed from Antwerp on 29th, September 1845 and arrived at Galveston on 5th, December 1845. See link: http://www.rootsweb.com/~txgilles/s-wash.html

Hope this information might be helpful for you.

Regards,

Martin
