Dear Linda:

My family was always told we came from shipbuilders also. I am trying to make the connection with birth, marriage and death records as well as census and land deeds. The shipbuilders were Peter, Phineas, and his son Peter. There is a lot of information about those three on the internet, but not the direct descendants. I am still looking.

Do you know when and how Fred came to the U.S.? Immigration and passenger lists may help you make a more definite connection to England.

Happy Hunting
Cathy
