I have to advise that thanks to a distant relative in Sweden
we have news of Jonas Erik Pettersson. He migrated to USA in 1868, and settled as a farmer in County Pepin, Winsconsin.
His name was Westblad, and later Westblade( which was my maiden name). He had two daughters Sara dob 1866, and Hannah dob 1869.
The 1900 census shows both girls single, so they may not have married and the family may have ended there.
Emma, Maria's( Mary) daughter by her first marriage joined them in 1869 after her brother died in Sweden, and on the 1879 census is listed as Emma Westblade aged 19 years. This may be of help to others researching this family.
Jonas( John) died in 1907 and his wide died sometime before 1900 as she does not appear on that census.
