Jonas Erik Pettersson dob 1833 became John Westblad when he migrated to USA Pepin Stockholm 1868. He came with Maria Cajsa Olssdotter dob 1827 or1828, who was the widow ofPeter Larsson and had two children, a son who died died sometime around 1969 in Sweden and a daughter Emma Larsdotter dob 1851 who came to USA after her brothers death and resided with
John and Mary Westblad at Pepin. John and Mary has a daughter Sarah M Westblad dob 1866 when they sailed and another daughter Hannah D was born to them in 1869.
On later censuses the name is Westblade, and Emma Larsdotter is also called Westblade.
The 1900 census shows John is widowed with the two daughters at home They live in Illinois at this time.. We know he died in 1907
Sarah Westblade's name appears on a later census and she is still Miss, so assumed to have no issue.Hanna disappears from the censuses after 1900 so could have married. If so there could be descendants Anyone out there recognise a forebear?
