I would love to make a connection to family in Ireland, unfortunately I cannot add any insight to your posting. I am very interested in finding the parents of Jacob Pettigrew/crew and what town his family originated from in Ireland but am stopped at his birth in PA in 1800. I can document his life through Westmoreland and Armstrong County tax, census and extended family records beginning around 1820 but the facts of his early life/relationships are unclear. The 1880 census reveals he and his parents were born in PA. Although our line has spelled their name Pettigrew, a cemetery record revealed it as Petticrew. We also found this to be true with some dna results. Any thoughts?

Jacob Pettigrew married Elizabeth Henry, daughter of Christian Henry and Elizabeth Goodman.

Grandparents were Jacob and Elizabeth Goodman who migrated to Westmoreland in late 1700's from Lancaster County.
