Michael,I recently informed Crispin that I had heard of 3 ostrich plumes proper,but I have now found out that a family from Breton named Piedefer ( which is a form of Pettifer from France was awarded a coat of arms,it was stated like this:AZURE A LION OR ARMED AND LANGUED GULES.3 OSTRITHCH PLUMES PROPER.
