Received your msg. Your in luck. Your George Pettingill is in "A Pettingell Genealogy" orig print 1906. This book has been reprinted by Higginson Book Co.,Salem, MA.
I have done a lot of research but I can not take credit for someone elses work. I have the book and when people are looking for information I do look ups. I am happy to share
what I have. I know what it is like to search and not find anything.
There is a great deal of information. I can not send it all
to you in one msge.
Your George Pettingill is in the 8th generation of the orig.
Richard Pettingell who came to Mass. around 1640.

George Stanton born at Rothesay, N.B. March 18, 1847; married Edytha V.A.Kierstead Feb.19, 1879.Resided at Gondola Point, N.B.

7th gen. Thomas Hanford born at St.John, N.B. April 22, 1798; died July 14, 1860; married, at Kingston, N.B. Feb. 26, 1831; Ann Hicks, born at Norton, N.B. Sept. 30, 1809; she died Aug. 18, 1877. They had 7 children all born at Rothesay, N.B.
1.Ann Judson b. Jan 25, 1832; m. Aug.5,1858, her cousin John L. Saunders, son of Thomas and Louisa (Hicks) Saunders, b. June 18, 1829; res. at Florenceville, N.B. They had 4 children. I have there names if your want.
2.Thomas b. May 5, 1833; res 1900 at Gondola Point, N.B. unmrd
3.James b. Jan. 29, 1835
4.Mary Elizabeth b. Jan 7, 1838; m. in May 1865, John Thompson; res. at Windsor, N.B. They had 5 children. I have there names if you want.
5.Julia Maria b. Dec. 21, 1839; m. in July, 1864 Albert Parlee, son of Henry and Ruth Parlee of Studholme, N.B. res. at Lansdowne, N.B. They had 7 children. I have there names if you want.

Thomas born at Newbury Sept. 16, 1763, married at Newburyport, July 15, 1791, Rhoda, daughter of James Carr; she died at St. John, N.B. Oct. 15, 1818 ated 57; he died April 4, 1854. He went to New Brunswick about 1794 and built vessels on the Oromocto and Kennebecasis rivers; also at St.John, N.B. He removed to St.John in 1808; was deacon in the Baptist church there. Thomas and his wife Rhoda, sold to James Carr their interest in the Carr estate Aug 2, 1797. They had 6 childrend

2. Mary b. at Newburyport Nov. 17, 1793 d. April 4, 1854
3. Hannah b. April 18, 1795; m Jan , 1822, William Johnson of Horton, N.S.; he d. Dec. 1, 1861; she d. Nov. 22, 1872 They had 7 children. I have names if you want.
4. Your Thomas Hanford b. at St.John,N.B. April 22, 1798
5. Ann b. March 24, 1802; m. Sept.3,1823, Thomas Hay; she d. Jan 25, 1887. They had 5 children. I have names if you want
