Dear Pettus researchers,
I am researching the Luck family of Hanover-Louisa Counties, VA.
Can anyone tell me what connection there may have been between the following:
John Luck Jr., Jesse Luck, and Richard Luck were all mentioned in the estate proceedings of John Pettus, who died in Louisa County in 1770. In addition, Richard Luck was one of the witnesses of John's will. Twenty years later, a John Luck was a witness to the will of John Pettus' son Thomas Waters Pettus, in 1791.
The Lucks and Pettuses were certainly neighbors, and I am wondering if there was any kinship between them. Thanks in advance for any help with this.
