Re: Pettus articles on Family Tree Maker CD#187:

I do have a CD containing articles about the Pettus family, but I can't get to it right now (we are redecorating). Were the articles you have in mind written by Stacy and published originally in Tyler's Magazine? Also, one by the Misses Wales. If so, I have them. Stacy was a pioneer in Pettus genealogy who made many important contributions, but her articles also contain many serious errors that have led to much confusion and misunderstanding. The errors become evident if the reader consults the original records in courthouses and archives. The article by the Misses Wales, while useful, also contains some significant errors.
