Campbell Pettus, SC

Hey I am new to this forum and would like to say hello to my fellow descendants of the Pettus family. My great grandfather was Joseph Campbell Pettus of Five Points, NC and SC. He was of Cherokee and European descent, a strong Presbytarian, and a farmer. His first wife was Samantha Blue, of white and Catawba descent. They had two daughters, Elizabeth and Sarah. Samantha Blue passed away and he married Carrie Cashion of Mecklenburg Co., NC, also of white and Catawba descent. They had 8 children, one of whom was my grandmother Lela Pettus - who later moved to New York. Their other children were George (who died in WWII), Charles, Jack, Bert (who was an elephant trainer), Lois (who resides in Fort Mill, SC), Mae (who lived in Louisville, KY), and Margaret.
My grandmother Lela Pettus married John Benjamin Gordon of York Co. SC and had my mother Barbara.
Anyway, if anyone has information about or connections to any of these folks I would love to hear from you.
