Pettus Book Status

During the past month, I continued working on the indexing project until I reached the point where my biography of Thomas Pettus II of Littletown plantation began. As I have submitted that biography for review by members of the Family History Writing Group of the Fairfax Genealogical Society, which will meet tomorrow night, I suspended work on the index. In the meantime, I have requested an abstract in English of a Dutch will that motivated Thomas to go to Holland in 1686. Once I have the review comments and the abstract, I can make whatever revisions are appropriate to Thomas's biography and continue with the index.

As this is the start of tax season, I have set aside further work on the book until I have assembled all of the information needed to file my taxes and work out a budget for the coming year. I expect to resume work on the book soon.
