I now have enough reservations on hand from prospective customers to warrant publication of 200 copies of my Pettus book. I have contacted two prospective publishers who specialize in historical and family history publications and have a sample book on hand from each publisher. Once I have quotes from both publishers for the same quality binding materials and paper stock, I will choose one and sign a contract. I hope to get back to you later this month with exact information on price and delivery and ask you to send me a check accordingly. When I have enough checks on hand to cover my initial down payment to the publisher, I will proceed with publication.
I recently learned from one of my Norwich contacts about efforts to restore Tasburgh Hall, an old Pettus home in Norfolk County, England, that contains an armorial fireplace with the Pettus coat-of-arms. I hope to receive pictures, but I donít think I can use one of them to illustrate my book without impacting the page numbering and the index. If I do get one, I will post it on this web site.
