I am a descendant of the Pettus Family. My Grandmother Gladys Nadine Collins, (now, Deane Pearsall) ( whos mother was Mattie Pettus, daughter of Newton Thomas Pettus son of.... "A" William Pettus) had began the geneology of the family about 20 yrs ago or so. I have questioned just how we are connected. Due to the research that a Louise Pettus had done, it seems to stop at a William Pettus, but doesnt show how it is connected to all the "famous Pettus' " that is from Norwick. I have done numerous searches and believe I have linked it, but am intregued by the Pocahontas Connection. Can you please varify any information as well as how we may be connected as well.
