yay! that is the Thomas Newton Pettus who had a son William Thomas b. 12.25.1837 m. Edith Bailes. Their son (1 out of 8 children) is Newton Thomas my great great grandfather. If correct, all can be linked to Thomas Pettus from Norwich 1492 According to what I found from your info as well as other internet info.

I must add, couldnt anyone pick a name other than Thomas or William? Just so many.....

Would really like to know if Ka-okee's husband was Thomas or Theodore.

would love a book, eventually.
