I cannot add much to the information provided by Bill Pugh about Daniel Pew, but I can tell you something about Daniel's wife, Louisa Kinnaman. She was the only child of a young widow, Mary Ann Mallett Kinnaman, when she married my great-great grandfather, Ransom(e) F. Ferguson (b. 17-Jan-1828, d. 16-Aug-1909) on 10-Nov-1859. This couple had eleven more children. The third child was Adelia Ferguson, my great-grandmother. Adelia was still alive when I was a small child and I have fuzzy memories of her. The family story says that Ransom and Mary moved with most of their family to the area which is now Laurens, Pocahantas, Iowa, about the time that Adelia married my great-grandfather. It appears that Louisa moved with them. My records show that Mary Ann died 31-Oct-1904. Her birth was 25-Aug-1834. I have little information about her parents. I show Jonathan Nash Mallett married Julian Walker, presumably before 1834, as Mary Ann was born in Chemung County, New York that year. My information about that line stops at that point. If there is any other information I might have, let me know. I'm glad to share whatever I can.
