I am also researching this branch of the Pew family. I do not know the answer to these questions, but I recently saw that there was a Mary Pew (b. 1778), supposedly daughter of the Thomas Pew in question. I was wondering if there was any thought about her relationship to John Pew (sister? cousin?). She was born in Washington Co. but later moved to Mercer with her husband, Thomas McClain. Any ideas?
