My Great-great-grandmother Margaret Mary (Maxwell) Smith's aunt Sinai Maxwell's first husband was James S. Pew. They were married about 1861 in Montgomery Co., Missouri. This James Pew was born 29 Mar 1816 in Kentucky and died 23 Sep 1879 in Montgomery Co., Missouri. He is buried there in the Pew Cemetery (also known as the Pontlow and Walnut Grove Cemetery).

On the 1900 Census of Pike Co., Missouri Sinai is refered to as "Fanny" Maxwell. She married her cousin John Maxwell sometime after the death of her first husband James Pew.

Sinai (Sini, Sina, Cinnie) was the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Marrs) Maxwell. She was born 18 Mar 1826 in Mercer Co. Virginia (now WV) and died 2, 6 or 8 Feb 1902 in Pike Co., Missouri.
