As a quick follow up to my last post I found something interesting. While no "William" is mentioned in John Pew's will, John and Susannah's son James is. According to marriage records in New Jersey, when James Pew went to obtain his marriage license to marry Deborah Burge in 1741, he was accompanied by William Pew. So was William his brother or his cousin? Is this the same William Pew who appeared in Southold and married Abigail Case in 1727 which could finally link William and John.
