Re William Alexander Pew, my husband's grandfather is also a Wm. Alexander Pew, born July 16, 1867 in Welland, Ontario, died January 1, 1944 at Detroit. His mother was Sarah Dickout Pew. WAP married Sarah Jane Hillman in Welland; they moved to Detroit, MI but never changed his name to DePew, but family believed that at some point in the past it originally was DePew.
