I suspect this is a great coincidence. Our grandfathers may have been cousins of some degree, and contemporaries. I think my WAP was born around 1870. My father said his father was 40 years old when he was born, in 1910. I also think he was 56 when he died in 1926. Although born and dying in Niagara Falls, he probably spent most of his time away from there. He was a painter, lecturer, and itinerant theatrical producer. He met my grandmother, Nettie Holland in West Virginia, and they were married Oct. 16, 1905, in Pulaski, VA. I know they lived in Buffalo, New York City, Fort Augustine, Florida, and Baltimore. He had second wife in Huntington, WV for a short time, but when he passed away he was married to his third wife, and living in Niagara Falls. He is buried in the Lundy's Lane Presbyterian churchyard.
I have found many disjoint peices of information about the Pews in Welland County, particularly of the 18th and 19th centuries, but have never been able find any links to my grandfather. Am planning a trip to NiFalls this summer. Perhaps will find something then.
Am interested in any other information you may have or may come across. If you would be interested in seeing my notes, drop me an email.
