This will be rather abstract, but my step-father who died about 16 years ago was named Frederick Elmer Rice. He was a United Church clergyman throughout parts of Ontario and somewhere in his background, he had been named Frederick DePew and/or Frederick Pew. He was raised by that family in the Lundy's Lane area of Niagara Falls during the 1920s or 30s. I don't have much more info than that but might be able to dig deeper if anybody is interested.
