Hi David. I do not remember if I told you or not, but on ancestry.com I have been speaking to someone who also is related to the Peyreferry's. She read you message here and this was her resopnse back to me regarding your posting.
I was reading your postings to your cousin David. I would be VERY interested in that info he has from the memorial service records!! Her date of birth corresponds with the timeframe of my Edward PeyreFerry and they were in the same areas. I am guestimating that they were brother n sister or cousins. Anyways,
If you remember the information I gave you earlier, the farthest I have back in the PeyreFerry's is my Edward and Amelia. Although the PeyreFerry's in my family seemed to reside in Pennsylvania, I have had no luck finding Edward there. Out of desperation, I started searching census's of his children's spouses. His daughter Theresa married a Frank Maple. I found Frank and Theresa in Philadelphia in the 1870 census. It listed Theresa's place of birth as Delaware. She was born in 1847 so perhaps my Edward was in Delaware back then. I have to refresh myself on history, because I know that certain parts of Pennsylvania were considered Delaware for quite awhile before the Civil War. I will research the dates....any new info?
Therefore, I would love to see the memorial service records and then maybe we can piece together some of our family. This girl has been doing reseach on Peyreferry to sometime now. And I am sure we will be able to put some pieces of the puzzle together. If you need to make copies of the book I will be more than happy to reimburse you for the charges and the mailing. I would just really love to see what is written in that book. Anything you could do to help me would be greatly appreciated. Peace and Harmony....Violette
