Fred Pfeffer m. Mary Kuhn Swiss or German

Hello --

I just received my ggg grandmother's death certificate, and learned that her parents were "Fred Pfeffer" and "Mary Kuhn" place of birth listed as "foreign" (sigh.)

Family story says that their daughter, Margaretha Pfeffer, met my ggg grandfather Maccabier Forni on the boat over from Switzerland. She stayed in New York until he set up the homestead in Monroe, Co. Ohio and then he returned to New York where they were married.

She lived there until her death in 1913 (she was born in 1817).

They lived near a cousin, A. Dotta.

Does anyone have any information about Fred and Mary Pfeffer?
