My great grandfather came to America as a stowaway when he was 11 or 12 yrs old. He then went to live with relatives or Amish in Uniontown, Union, Kentucky. We have been told two different stories about this. One was that he went to live with Uncle John Pfeffer and Aunt Mary and their three children. The other was that he went to live with Amish, because they spoke his language. He married Lucinda Mills from Tennessee. In researching Pfeffers from Germany, has anyone come across a a relative named Phillip who was a stowaway. He was born abt 1856. Thanks, Carolyn Pfeffer Easley
