KATHERINE ANN PFEFFERLE, b. 12-25-1886 in Pennsylvania, m. HAROLD MORTON PIPER on 06-07-1923 in Ft. Wayne, Allen Co., Indiana. The Pfefferle family knew Harold as "Hal." He was b. 03-03-1888 in Chillicothe, Peoria Co., Illinois.
Hal and Katherine Ann had two children. One, George Morris Piper who was stillborn 02-13-1924. The second child, a daughter named KATHERINE ANN PIPER was born about 1926. The family was living in Little Rock, Pulaski Co., Arkansas, when the mother Katherine Ann died 06-17-1931 in the Trinity Hospital there. Per Arkansas death certificate 1176, the cause of death was an intestinal obstruction.
Katherine Ann the daughter went to stay with an aunt in Indiana who was a sister to her mother. When Hal remarried in December of the same year, 1931, to the widow LEXIE BELLE RAY MCGILL, they did not retrieve Hal's daughter to live with them.
We do not know the reasons.
Hal and Lexie had two children, PEGGY ANN and JAMES ALBERT (Jim).
We are seeking information on the daughter who would be a half sister to Jim and to Peggy. We have in our possession a photo album with over 200 photos of Hal with the Pfefferle family. We also have the original marriage license for Hal and Katherine's marriage. We would like to give these things to Katherine Ann the daughter. (or to her descendants.) Our contact with a niece that remembers her Aunt Katherine and Uncle Hal did not know what became of the daughter either.
In a couple of letters and on a snapshot, we found that KATHERINE, the daughter, married a RAY DURHAM and they had at least one child - MIKE.
My husband and his sister Peggy, would love to meet their sister if she is willing. If not, we still would love for her to have information on her family and to give to her this album.
