Hi! My name is Lou Ann Pfeil, and I am one of those Pfeil descendants of Schuylkill County, PA. My dad, Earl Pfeil, was born in Tamaqua (11/1/29) and has/has 5 brothers, Karl Pfeil (1915 - 1991), Paul Pfeil (2/1917), John Pfeil (1917 - 1995), Miles Pfeil (b. 1927), and Kenneth Pfeil (b. 1931). Karl lived in Tamaqua for his entire life & had a number of children (I have 20 Pfeil first cousins). My grandfather was Raymond Pfeil, born (I believe) in the 1880s. He had, if I remember correctly, some 4 or 5 siblings, including sisters Leah, Hilda, and Clara. Hilda's grand-daughter is a friend of mine, and lives in Houston, TX, near my parents. I was born in Dallas, TX, on 9/5/64.
I'd also love to know more about the other Pfeils from this region.
My great-aunt Hilda did a little research, and found that our branch originated in Baden-Baden, and that 3 Pfeil brothers came to the USA in 1868 by ship, settling in PA.
