Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I am descended from Johannes Daniel Pfeil, a 1754 German immigrant who settled in Berks County. I have always suspected he either came over with family (only men signed the ship lists), or had relatives waiting for him. Have you checked the published German Pennsylvania church records? Most good libraries have a set. I'll check my notes. I recall references to several Pfeil families I couldn't connect with my line.
