Hello Jim,

I have recently started my genealogy. I just noticed your generous offer to pay for dna testing. Just this morning I sent away for a kit for the testing.

I have been able to trace back to my grandfather with the help of my girlfriend's mom, (she is really good at this stuff) Charles Pfister, Brooklyn, New York, 1894. He was married to Veronica Driscoll whom I believe was from Germany. My family had a reunion in 1979 and a family history was produced. I plan to visit my mother next week and get that from her. I do not know of any relatives or family from out west never knows... I do know that someone in the family was from alsace-Lorraine(sic) France.

I look forward to hearing from you and quite possibly helping each other in our common endeavor.
