I'm a Pharr and my family used the spelling Phair often up till 1820. I have posted some census records under the names Farr and Pharr that those who have questions may want to check? I did ever Phair I found from 1790 to 1840 census. The Pharr's were Scot Irish Presbyterians. We believe they arrived in American around 1740. They stopped in Pennsylvania, Virginia, South Carolina and Georgia. From there the family has moved in many states. Also some may want to check the Farr family DNA results. Tim Farr has did a great job with this. I wished some who used the spelling Phair would take the test. That might clear up some questions also. Good Luck David
