I am researching a possibly allied family Wallace. You will find a will for Ephraim Phair (the elder) in the Wilkes Co. Will Book 1. It may still be online at hidden ancestors.com (if Ancestry hasn't erased it). Oglethorpe bordered Wilkes Co. and the boundaries changed many times over the years, so it may not be that there was an actual move involved. Also, check out John Houtten Phair who was willed 287.5 acres in Greene Co., Ga.. Of course, he may have sold it rather than have moved there.

This Ephraim's daughter Margery married Joseph Wallace according to his will. He had a son named Ephraim who received land from his father.

Ephraim, the elder, was a Revolutionary War soldier as was our William Wallace and the John Wallace who had 373 acres in Wilkes Co., Ga. at the same time.
