Phair family lineage. Trying to make connections.

My family originate from Enniskillen Co Fermanagh, N Ireland.

Have done a little research into family connections and visit the family home area on a regular basis to keep in touch with cousins etc

Great grandfather was Edward Phair and he lived the Druminiskill area near Enniskillen. In fact he rented land from the Earl of Enniskillen. Have no details of siblings but guess there are descendants of them out there somewhere given the birth control situation at that time. I do have dates and names of wife etc but they are not to hand at this time.

He (and his wife) had x children of which my grandfather, Robert, was one. Born around about 1870. Robert emigrated to US sometime during 1890's along with his brother Richard. Believe they had a haulage business in San Fransisco. My grandfather returned to Fermanagh on a visit on 1900 and succumbed to the charms of a local Irish lass, Selina Veitch, and did not return to the US.

They had 9 children (see lack of birth control above !) of which my father was one - William Herbert Alexander Phair - born 1918. died 1975. All children of this union now deceased but the family name continues on in the shape of myself. I have one son - Robert - and he is the last hope of this particular branch to carry on the Phair name. He is 21 and raring to go !!

Interested to see if anyone can link up with the above and the next time I connect to this web site I should have some actual dates and names to help.

Best regards to whoever you are.

John R Phair
